Q. Caesars Palace Casino
1st December 2009 at 11:31 EST by anon [GB]
So Harrahs have launched Caesars Palace as an online casino. Has anyone played this yet, any idea of the games available? Does it have Cleopatra? I read that it is only available to the UK market which seems a bit odd considering the brand is best known in America.
Any info from anyone that has played it would be greatly appreciated.

Actually to give it it's proper name it's just "Caesars" - they aren't using the Palace bit.
The deal was done with Dragonfish, the tech arm of 888 so it's using the same software but I played here yesterday and I noticed it does have IGT's Cleopatra game! The table games are pretty much what you'll find everywhere and there are some video pokers including multihand. As for slots, Cleopatra was the only recognisable one from land-based casinos, but they have Superman and Fantastic 4 Marvel slots from Cryptologic which are also at Intercasino.
It runs pretty well, the only bugbear of mine being that cashouts take up to 72 hours and 48 hours of that the money is spent in reverse pending which will put off a lot of players. I think it will be hard to compete in the UK market when all the bookies like Ladbrokes casino etc cashout so much quicker.
As for being UK based, Caesars brand is owned by Harrahs who have a lot of land based casino licences in the USA and have had eyes on other markets too and I am pretty sure it's UK only so they stay on the right side of the law and protect those.
If a question was asked "anonymously", or in the event that a best response has not been selected by the originator, the response with the highest rating assumes that position until such a time as a response is selected.

Update September 2011: Caesars remains the only "name" from Vegas or AC in the online casino field but it has also switched from 888's software (as described above) to Gamesys software. Probably a minor improvement IMO but still way off the best. Shoulda gone with IGT.
